Wicketkeeper-batter Tom Blundell admits the allure of another World Test Championship final is lingering in the thoughts of the Black Caps ahead of their opening test against England starting tomorrow in Christchurch.

A 3-nil whitewash of the visitors - backing up their series sweep in India - would give New Zealand the best possible chance of making the final, if other results go their way.

Blundell says it's in the back of their minds.
